How to Build a Thesis

This is the written companion to Saint's video on building a thesis, one of the most requested on the channel. Saint calls it one of the most important things in trading: without a thesis and a narrative there is no foundation for execution. The process starts on the higher timeframe with one question, auctioning or trending, then checks whether your setup even works on that kind of day, then picks a point of interest such as an unfinished auction, always with a second plan because the market does what it needs to, not what you want.

From there it is about location and confirmation. Inside the higher timeframe balance you stay hands off and wait for the extremes. At your level, absorption and aggressive buying confirm the idea, while a break and retest the other way kills it and sends you to plan B. It covers the two setups worth waiting for, then a live NQ day where a long idea at the level failed and turned into a short, and the path price would need to take to reach the high. It closes with a printable checklist.
